U.S. Senator: Tammy Duckworth
Tammy Duckworth knows hardship. At 16 she was the only person in her family with a job, selling roses by the roadside to help pull her family out of poverty. She waitressed and worked her way through college and a master's degree, and joined the ROTC, become one of the few women to fly Blackhawk helicopters in Iraq. A rocket attack on her helicopter while she was piloting cost her both legs and the full use of her arm, but she fought on. She has since become a fierce advocate for Wounded Warriors and all veterans. See more here.
Governor and Lt. Governor: JB Pritzker and Juliana Stratton
JB Pritzker has been working to help working families every day since he took office in 2019. As governor he has delivered on his promises for the people of Illinois. He increased the minimum wage to a living wage, is tackling the largest infrastructure project in Illinois history, made college more affordable, expanded early childhood learning, decriminalized adult-use cannabis. He passed a bipartisan balanced budget, and is paying down Illinois' debts. And he showed national leadership to protect Illinoisans during the pandemic. See more here.
