Are you thinking of running for local office? TIME IS RUNNING OUT! People who want to be on the April 2027 ballot need to start collecting signatures in August this year. The Candidates' Coach Academy is a FREE candidate training for people running for local office in the northwest suburbs. To be considered for the Academy, you must attend one of the monthly candidate training forums that have been held this spring-- and the LAST forum is May 21, 2026. If you are a Democrat or progressive thinking of running for village office, school board, library board, park board in the northwest suburbs, this is your last chance to learn what it takes to win an election. This two-hour recruitment program is open to prospective candidates, and will give an overview of local campaigning. You will hear from successful candidates on what it takes to win.
