GPAD Paints Palatine Green at St. Patrick's Day Parade March 16

People! We need you -- all of you! Put on your layers, your sturdy shoes, and green clothing and join GPAD at Palatine's "Paint the Town Green" St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 16. Since November we've all had a nice winter's rest. Now it is time to show the community we are here! Sign up here!

We have new, exciting banners that need to be raised high! Come with your candidate handouts! Feel free to bring your own posters on Irish immigrants! And bring donations for Journeys, The Road Home. For a list of donated items needed, sign up, or click on this event in the Calendar at the top of the page.

We'll meet on Saturday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. on Oak Street, just south of Palatine Village Hall. GPAD is Number 20 in the parade lineup. Cars will be able to enter Oak Street only from Palatine Road going north. Parking is free in village lots, so park and walk to the staging area. The parade sets off at 11 a.m. sharp, ending at Smith and Colfax.  The parade organizers ask us to not pick up participants near Smith and Colfax, but make arrangements to move further from the parade. Oh, and they ask us to leave the Supersoakers and water guns at home. Just in case you were wondering about that.
