    May 24 Volunteer Meeting for Primary 2022

    Primaries Matter-- People who vote in primary elections are much more likely to vote in general elections. We need MORE Democratic voters in this midterm year! Learn from Democratic State Central Committeewoman Nancy Shepherdson what YOU can do to help Democratic candidates WIN up and down the ballot! Sign up for lots of volunteer opportunities as we launch our campaign to Get Out The Vote for the June 28 Primary. We will have a limited number of yard signs and campaign swag for volunteers. This is an in-person meeting-- bring your friends, meet other Democratic volunteers, and let's get ready to WIN!

    March with GPAD in Rolling Meadows Memorial Day Parade

    Join Greater Palatine Area Democrats in marching in the Rolling Meadows Memorial Day Parade. This somber event will honor those who have sacrificed for their country. Please wear patriotic colors. Please do not bring campaign signs or literature. Campaign tshirts are ok. Posters thanking troops for their sacrifice are appropriate. The parade is sponsored by City of Rolling Meadows.

    We will gather for the parade at 10:30 a.m. south of the intersection of Meadow Drive and Kirchoff Road in Rolling Meadows. Parking is available at the Jewel at the northwest corner of the intersection. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. and go west on Kirchoff to the Veterans Memorial Carillon for a program at 11:30 a.m.

    March with GPAD in Palatine Memorial Day Parade

    Join Greater Palatine Area Democrats in marching in the Palatine Memorial Day Parade. This somber event will honor those who have sacrificed for their country. Please wear patriotic colors. Please do not bring campaign signs, tshirts or literature. Posters thanking troops for their sacrifice are appropriate. The parade is sponsored by American Legion Post 690. A 10 a.m. memorial service prior to the parade will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Smith Street, a block north of Colfax.

    We will gather for the parade at 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Cornell Avenue and Smith Street in Palatine. The parade will begin at 10:15 a.m., going north on Smith, then east on Robertson Street, south on Brockway Street, then east on Wood Street to the Veterans Memorial in Community Park for an 11 a.m. short program.

    Free parking is available at Gateway Parking at Smith and Colfax in Palatine. Please sign up so we know to expect you.

    GPAD On The Road: Buffalo Grove Pride Parade Sunday, June 5

    March with Greater Palatine Area Democrats in the Buffalo Grove Pride Parade! After two years, the BG Pride Parade is back! We've been advised to carpool to the event, so we will meet at GPAD offices, 1310 W. Northwest Highway by 9 a.m. then carpool to the parade staging area on Checker Drive in Buffalo Grove. The parade begins at 11 a.m. A Pride Picnic sponsored by the Buffalo Grove Park District is offered at Mike Rylko Park, for those who want to stay.
