Over the years we have fought hard for Freedom: Freedom to decide when and how to have a family. Freedom from gun violence in our schools, our places of worship, and our lives. Freedom to earn a working wage so we can join the middle class. Freedom to drive across a bridge and not have it fall down. Freedom to breathe clean air and to drink clean water. Freedom to live our lives and love who we love without government interference. Freedom from outrageous, unscrupulous college debt. We can't stop now. While women candidates face particular challenges when they run for office, today's climate may be the best environment yet for women to run successfully. A panel of former candidates and current electeds will discuss what worked for them and give future candidates their best advice.

If you are a liberal or progressive member of a marginalized community who is thinking of running for local office, join us for this 90-minute introduction. We'll give you an overview of running a local campaign as well as advice elected officials from marginalized communities who have gone before you on how they got started, raised enough funds, organized a campaign, built a supporter network, and reached voters.
