It's a Pizza Thank You Party to our awesome volunteers! We'll be updating you on the issues in our Summer Community Canvass, practicing how to talk to like-minded Democrats about the issues, and practicing using the Minivan app for canvassing. We'll also be prepping for our July meeting with Democratic Party of Illinois Chair Lisa Hernandez. And!! We've got things that need gluing for our July Fourth events! Lots to do, so join us and have FUN!

We're going out to talk to our strongest Democratic neighbors about what issues are important to them. This is a great event for precinct captains and volunteers to build your relationships in your neighborhood. We'll give you a list of your Democratic neighbors for you to visit at their front doors this weekend, at a shift that works for your schedule. Help grow the Democratic community in Palatine Township! If this weekend doesn't work for you, look for Weekend Canvasses in July and August! We can also give you a list to work on your own schedule.

Celebrate the Fourth of July with people who value democracy and personal freedom. Come out the Greater Palatine Area Democrats Booth at Palatine Jaycees' Hometown Fest!! We'll be in a booth at the Craft/Vendors Expo, in Community Park behind the Walgreens at Northwest Highway and Palatine Road on Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon and evening. We'll have GPAD t-shirts for sale, games for kids, and great conversations with local Democrats. Candidates are welcome!! Bring your signs and your campaign literature!

We need a big crew to help set up the booth at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 30. We also need a crew on Saturday, July 1, to open the booth during the parade. See the shifts below. 

Join GPAD at the Palatine Fourth of July Parade! Our wonderful Democratic electeds, candidates, supporters, volunteers and their families are welcome! We have banners to carry! Candy and swag to hand out! This is areat event for kids and teens. The parade staging area is at North Cedar Street and West Wood Street. (West Wood Street is west of the Metra Station, on the other side of Smith, and south of the Metra Tracks.) Parking is available at the parking garage at Smith and Colfax. Lineup at 10:30 a.m., parade kickoff is at 11 a.m. sharp. We'll end up at Community Park, near Village Hall.

Bring your sunblock and water bottle. We will email participants the day before the parade with our parade entry number.

Join GPAD and The City of Rolling Meadows in their 2023, 4th of July Parade!  Meet us at 10:30 for set up at 2800 Central Road, Rolling Meadows. (Conyers Learning Academy parking lot). The parade steps off at 11:30 sharp and ends at the Jewel parking lot on Kirchoff. Our Democratic electeds, candidates, supporters, volunteers and families are welcome! We have banners to carry, swag and candy to hand out!  Don't forget to wear your best Americana spirit wear!

The Democratic Party of Illinois is coming out to meet us!!! For the first time, the Chair of the Democratic Party is on a tour across Illinois to meet with grassroots volunteers like the awesome volunteers of Greater Palatine Area Democrats! Chair Lisa Hernandez is out to remake the state Democratic party into a dynamic organization that works with and supports local organizations. Come ask your questions and share your ideas!
