June 24 is the second anniversary of the fall of Roe v Wade, when half the population of the country lost their rights to have control over their own bodies. While Illinois now is a stronghold of protections for women, if President Biden is not re-elected in November, even in Illinois we will not be protected from a religious minority determined to strip women of their rights.
We will be out at Volunteer Clock Tower Plaza in Palatine from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 24--and every Monday at this time until the election, to remind our community about what's at stake in this election. Join us on June 24 after work for a show of force to declare that women will be heard in this election.
