April 22 Science Matters Panel: They Speak for the Trees. And the Water. And the Air.

Who speaks for the trees? Or the water? Or air? We won't have the Lorax from Dr. Seuss' classic story, but we will have a panel of three local and national experts who care a whole awful lot about our Great Lakes, air and forests. Our April 22 Science Matters panelists:

  • Cam Davis, President Obama's Great Lakes Adviser and Commissioner for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.
  • Sri Rao, spokesperson for Stop Sterigenics, the community group that opposes Sterigenics, the Willowbrook company that emitted the carcinogen ethylene oxide until it was shut down temporarily this past February.
  • Mark Krivchenia, Steward of Deer Grove Forest Preserve, member of the Sierra Club.

Sign up here for SCIENCE MATTERS, Monday, April 22. From 6 to 7 p.m. we'll make posters for the May 4 March for Science. The panel discussion begins at 7 p.m.

As Dr. Seuss said in The Lorax: "UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."
