If you will be 18 years old on or before November 4, 2014, a new Illinois law allows you to register NOW and vote in the March 18th primary. It's easy:
1. Go to https://ovr.elections.il.gov/, where you can complete a voter registration form online. Print it out, sign it, and mail it to the Cook County Clerk, 69 W. Washington St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60602.
2. Or go to http://www.cookcountyclerk.com/elections/registertovote/Pages/default.aspx, where you can print out a registration form in English, Spanish, Hindi, Polish, Chinese, or Korean. Complete and sign the form and mail it to the Cook County Clerk, 69 W. Washington St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60602.
If you've moved, follow the same instructions but indicate that you are re-registering.
Registration forms must be received by February 18th in order to vote in the March 18th primary. After that date, you can only register at the County Clerk's office and you have to vote at the same time you register.
