Other Progressive Action Groups in the Palatine Area

Other local progressive groups maintain Facebook pages, blogs, and Twitter feeds.

Here are a few good ones. We urge you to join and work with these groups. If you know of other groups that have become

active in our area, email links to [email protected] so we can include them on this page.

Northwest Suburbs Organizing for Action is the local chapter of Organizing for Action (OFA). NWSOFA

supports progressive policies on health care, women's rights, gun violence prevention, climate change,

fiscal and economic issues, diversity, college outreach and immigration reform, among others. OFA does

not support any party or candidate, but its progressive agenda is one we Democrats share.

The Coalition For A Better Illinois 6th is committed to electing a Member of Congress who will represent

the 6th Congressional District far better than Peter Roskam does and to encourage and publicize

good candidates for that seat.

Illinois Sixth Congressional District Democrats: Share information about Peter Roskam's right-wing votes

and events taking place in this increasingly Democratic district.

The Palatine After March Action Group was formed by local Palatine-area progressive women to maintain

the energy of the Women's Marches and to direct that energy to constructive change. It's a real example of

21st Century grassroots organizing.

Action 6th District Illinois was created in order to seek change and responsive leadership for the people

of the 6th Congressional District of Illinois and to bring attention to the needs not addressed by our

elected representative, Peter Roskam.

6th District of Illinois - Holding Rep. Peter Roskam Accountable is just what the name connotes.

RTW is Wrong for IL: This Facebook page is moderated by Todd Overdorf of Palatine and is devoted to

exposing the hypocrisy of Gov. Rauner’s so-called “Right to Work” campaign, and organizing opponents to

the same type of direct action that Wisconsin Democrats mobilized against Gov. Scott Walker there.

Brown Bag Progressives: This Facebook page is managed by longtime progressive Democrats.

Reclaim Chicago NW Suburbs works for progressive legislation such as an increase in the minimum wage

and paid sick leave.
