The races for Palatine Township are partisan races -- the candidate's political party will be listed on the ballot. Currently, every position is held by a Republican. All positions are up for election in 2021 and all are 4-year terms.
Qualifications: Qualifications and Residency Requirements: Registered voter, not in arrears in taxes to the township, or convicted of infamous crime, felony, bribery, or perjury. Need to be resident of the township for at least a year before the election. (Most people who live in the township are also residents of one of the 8 towns that share the geographic area of the township: Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Arlington Heights, Barrington, Inverness, Hoffman Estates, South Barrington and Schaumburg.)
