Nominate an Awesome Woman for Annual Cook County Peggy A.Montes Award

Who do you know who is changing her community? Who is working to make her corner of the world a better place? Who is persists in spite of obstacles? Nominate her for

the Peggy A. Montes Unsung Heroine Award! The Cook County Commission on Women's Issues each year honors 17 women, one from each Cook County Commission District, and one woman chosen at-large. The award is named for Peggy Montes, a force who founded Bronzeville's Children's Museum and chaired the Board of Trustees of the DuSable Museum of African American History, among many other accomplishments and achievements.

Nominating letters should include the nominee's name, address, and contact information, including phone number and email address, along with a listing of the accomplishments or work related to women and girls' issues, as well as any other relevant information. 

Most of Palatine Township is in Cook County Commission District 14--except for the southwest corner of the township, which is in District 15. To check your district, click here.
