On July 17, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing, we’re joining a national day of action to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble.  From voter suppression bills like the SAVE Act to the criminalization of protest, the Trump administration is launching a full-scale attack on our civil and human rights. But we know the truth: in America, the power lies with the people, and we’re rising to prove it.

FOOD DRIVE FOR LOCAL IMMIGRANT FAMILIES: As we gather to rally for a better America for all, we'll be collecting canned goods donations to deliver to Faith Feeds, a local food pantry in Palatine that serves low-income and immigrant family clients of Partners for Our Communities. We also will be collecting $10 gift cards from Aldi's, Walmart, or Jewel, which the pantry gives to clients so they can get smaller personal items. Please drop off your donations in the corner of the parking lot behind the Clock Tower Plaza-- we will have cars ready to accept donations.

NEW BACKPACKS FOR LOCAL SCHOOLCHILDREN: We also will be collecting new backpacks for Palatine Township Back to School Supplies Campaign to distribute to 1,100 local children in Palatine School District 15.
