As a lawyer, people often ask me how to vote on judicial races. I usually follow the recommendations of the bar associations, especially the Chicago Council of Lawyers. (I served as a member of the Council's Judicial Evaluation Committee for several years.) Following are my recommendations in contested countywide races and in the 13th Judicial Subcircuit, which includes Palatine Township:
