Palatine Township includes two High School Districts. Most of Palatine Township is served by High School District 211. The southeast corner of the township is in High School District 214. All the school board members are elected at-large. Races are non-partisan.
Qualifications and Residency Requirements: Registered voter, not in arrears in taxes to the School District, or convicted of infamous crime, felony, bribery, or perjury. Need to be resident of School District for at least a year before the election.

Township High School District 211 serves over 250,000 culturally diverse residents of Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Palatine, Schaumburg, and parts of Arlington Heights, Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Rolling Meadows, Roselle, South Barrington, and Streamwood. It is one of the largest high school districts in Illinois with nearly 12,000 students in five high schools.

High School District 214 serves about 300,000 residents of Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, Mt. Prospect, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, Wheeling and Des Plaines. It also is one of the largest high school districts, with enrollment in 2017-18 at more than 12,331, six high schools and one specialized school.
