Thank you to everyone who came out to march with us at the Buffalo Grove Pinta Pride Parade! Greater Palatine Area Democrats is a proud sponsor of this year's Pinta Pride Parade. And, we had our biggest turnout yet as families and volunteers joined us "on the road" as we went up to Buffalo Grove to walk in the Pride Parade and show support for our LGBTQ+ friends, family and neighbors. At a time when so many Republican-controlled states in our country are targeting vulnerable trans kids in schools as well as the healthcare choices of trans adults, we need to stand up against that hatred. It was an honor to be included in that lineup!
Thank you to State Senator Ann Gillespie, Cook County Commissioner Maggie Trevor, Wheeling Township Democrats, and Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi's campaign for joining us at the Rolling Meadows Memorial Day Parade on May 27. And thank you to State Rep. Nabeela Syed and Appellate Court Judge Jesse Reyes for joining us at the Palatine Memorial Day Parade on May 29.
It was an humbling to be able to honor those who have made the highest sacrifice for our country.
Thank you to the City of Rolling Meadows and American Legion Post 690 for organizing these memorials.
