Join Greater Palatine Area Democrats as we walk for a Better Future in the Palatine Durty St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 15. GPAD is proud to be a sponsor of this local parade organized by Durty Nellies. We will be walking for a better future for all of us. If you are frustrated with the chaos and destruction in our federal government, join us for this hour-long parade. We need loads of folks to show the growing numbers of people here who are standing up for the pursuit of happiness, equality, and justice for all.

On Parade Day, March 15, line up is 9 to 10 a.m. The staging area is on Oak Street in front of Gray Sanborn School, 101 N Oak Street, Palatine. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. and ends at Colfax and Smith streets. The parade takes about 45 minutes to walk.

We will have coffee and green doughnuts at the staging area. Dress for the weather!

Vehicles will be restricted from entering onto Oak Street from Palatine Road or from Wood Street, unless they are registered as part of a parade entry. Plan on parking and walking to the staging area. Free parking is available in the parking deck at 210 N. Smith Street in Palatine (behind Durty Nellies), at the Metra parking spots on Smith south of the Metra tracks, or at the Aquatic Center parking, 340 E. Palatine Road. Street parking is discouraged.
