Grab your rainbow gear and walk with Greater Palatine Area Democrats in the 2025 Buffalo Grove Pride Parade-- and protest this administration's attacks on the LGBTQ community! We are proud to be sponsors of this event. At a time when the federal government is targeting the trans and LGBTQ+ community, it is important that we stand up for our values. Everyone has a right to live their lives free from fear and instead live lives full of freedom, affirmation, and the pursuit of happiness. Here is an opportunity for allies to step up! Plus, the BG Pride Parade is super fun!
GPAD is Number 68 in the parade. Please plan on meeting us between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the staging area on Buffalo Grove Road south of Aptakisic. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. We need four volunteers to carry banners. And, if you like, you can bring your own posters--this year's theme is "Pride is Natural." Please keep signs full of positive messaging. "Love is love," and "Equality for all" are examples. We also will be handing out our rainbow donkey fans and Pride stickers.
PARKING INSTRUCTIONS HAVE CHANGED. Please note parking is now encouraged in the neighborhood around the parade route.
