You can now vote by mail – and you should
Many people intend to vote, but don’t. Our elections are on a work day for most people. You have to drive to the polling place, park, wait in line, vote, and return home. If you don’t have a car, you need to find a ride. If you have young children, you may need to bring them with you. Early voting gives you more flexibility, but you still have to make time to get to a voting site during business hours.
Now there’s a better way. Illinois law allows you to vote by mail. The County Clerk will mail you a ballot. You can make your choices at your convenience, seal it, and mail it anytime before Election Day. Better yet, you can apply online right now.

Please take a few minutes to participate in our democratic process. If you don’t vote, don’t complain about the people we elect.
