GPAD donors give $2,000 of food, gift cards and cash to All Saints Food Pantry, helping families

All you wonderful Greater Palatine Area Democrats! You heard the call and you answered! GPAD was able to deliver at least $2,000 of donations Thursday morning to All Saints Food Pantry, which serves a diverse group of mostly Latinx families in the northeast corner of

Palatine Township. Even U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin noticed our efforts! All Saints Food Pantry usually serves about 30 families, but with the economic shutdowns of the Covid-19 pandemic, that list surged to nearly 200 families in need in the last few weeks. This effort could not have happened without the leadership of Donna Epton, Nathaniel Groh and Hal Snyder. College students Gretchen Coleman and Darko Bojin picked up half the donations. And most of all, this effort was possible because of theĀ  generosity of you, our GPAD members and friends. We received a food pantry donation Illinois Appellate Court Judge Margaret McBride. And Chicago's 46th Ward Committeeperson Sean Tenner donated a case of hand sanitizer. We are not out of the woods on Covid-19. We need to stay inside a bit longer. But GPAD is here to help our community get through these times. A big thank you to our donors: Nick Chrisos, the Coleman Family, Maureen and Frank DeRosa, Donna Epton, Maria Galo, Lucinda Sanders, Alex Schubert, Hayley Serruya, Joyce Slavik, and Raymond Yee.
