Greater Palatine Area Democrats is organizing a Food Drive on Thursday, April 30, for All Saints Food Pantry, which operates at the Community Resource Center (also known as POC), 1585 N. Rand Road, Palatine. The Food Pantry has seen its client list soar 600% in the last few weeks, due to the economic distress caused by COVID-19. Your donation will assist families in Palatine Township who have been affected by widespread job layoffs.  

GPAD volunteers & precinct captains will pick up your donation from your front porch, so you can maintain social distancing! Please fill out the form below so we can add you to our pick-up routes. Please leave your food donation on your front step by 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 30 and attach a note that says "GPAD FOOD DRIVE."  Our volunteers will be picking up donations between 8 and 10 a.m. on April 30, and will drop them off at the Food Pantry at the Community Resource Center. The Food Pantry accepts food donations on Thursdays between 10 a.m. and noon. The Food Pantry needs in particular: canned tuna, dry cereal, oatmeal, dry pasta, white rice, canned fruit, and jars of peanut butter. The Food Pantry also accepts $10 gift cards from Jewel, Aldi, and other local grocery stores. 

A cash donation will allow the Food Pantry to purchase fresh produce at a discount from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. If you wish to make a cash donation, you can mail a check (with "food pantry" in the memo line) to All Saints Lutheran Church, 630 S. Quentin Rd., Palatine, 60067. All Saints is not set up to accept donations online.
