We had a tremendous show of Democratic strength this weekend! Thank you to everyone who came out to walk with Greater Palatine Area Democrats in the Palatine St. Patrick's Day Parade. So many people came with their signs stating what Democrats are FOR. The crowd was overwhelmingly welcoming as we walked the parade route. Thank you to everyone who helped make banners, who made posters, carried signs, carried banners and showed Palatine that Democrats are a strong presence in our community.

The Palatine St. Patrick's Day Parade is a perfect time to show our resolve in standing up for our democracy. Join Greater Palatine Area Democrats as we walk in the Palatine Durty St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 15. We will be walking for a better future for all of us. If you are frustrated with the chaos and destruction in our federal government, join us for this hour-long parade. We need loads of folks to show the community we are standing up for the pursuit of happiness, equality, and justice for all--for them. The parade is a friendly space where we can walk proud and tall. Seeking postcard writers and crafters! GPAD is holding a Working Meeting on Thursday, March 6 for volunteers to write postcards to help reach voters for the April 1 local election and to help make banners for GPAD's entry in the Palatine St. Pat's Parade on Saturday, March 15. The Mental Health Referendum campaign is asking for volunteers to write help write postcards to more than 2,000 voters. (The campaign would appreciate donations of postcard stamps.)

AND we'll be constructing new banners for GPAD to carry in the St. Patrick's Day parade in Palatine. We'll have food, fun, chocolate and music while you meet other Democratic and Progressive neighbors in Palatine Township.

Come out and join us in our work to keep the Republican chaos and destruction of the federal government out of local government, and have fun doing it!
