We're celebrating our volunteers and SO MANY Democratic Candidates!

Two weeks to go until we celebrate our volunteers for their hard work in growing the Democratic and Progressive community here in Palatine Township! Greater Palatine Area Democrats is growing stronger and bigger. It is all due to our volunteers and their steadfast work over the last year canvassing, phonebanking, writing postcards, attending meetings and working hard to spread Democratic values and turn Palatine Township blue. We stand for strong public schools, science-based public health, developing good-paying jobs, restoring social services, protecting a woman's right to choose, and making all our communities safer. Sea of Democrats at Palatine St. Pat's Parade in Palatine!

Despite the brisk 15-degree weather, more than 60 Democrats and Progressives turned out to march with Greater Palatine Area Democrats in the Durty Nellie's St. Patrick's Day Parade. Many thanks to Cong. Raja Krisnamoorthi and his campaign for joining us and bringing his star power to Palatine! And many thanks to our fabulous Democratic candidates and their campaigns for layering up and donning the green. After two years without a St. Pat's parade, GPAD showed how we've grown as a presence in the Palatine Township community.

Thank you to our banner carriers: Steven Rosenblum, Joyce Slavik, Jim McGrath, Rich Medina, Jerry Freda, and Elizabeth Medina. Thank you to Paula Uscian and her family for distributing candy. Many thanks to Matt Flamm for allowing his car to be plastered with political signs.

Thank you to our elects Cook Co. Commissioner Scott Britton, 14th District, and the campaign of State Sen. Ann Gillespie's campaign for joining us.

Thank you to the candidates who brought their campaign teams: Maria Peterson for State Senate,  Chelsea LaLiberte Barnes for State Rep, Nabeela Syed for State Rep, Mary Beth Canty for State Rep,  Maggie Trevor for County Board Commissioner, Diana Lopez for Cook County Judge, and Joe Gump for Judge, 13th Subcircuit.

And most importantly, thank you to Kathy Feingold for organizing, and Harold Whyte our parade marshal, who for the last two years stockpiled St. Patrick's Day hats, necklaces and boas for us, transported all the banners, signs, hats, and for making sure everyone had what they needed at the event.
